Two Macs

Installing on the second machine, which box does the work, and the same memory on both.

What is included

Every Solo and Founding seat includes two Macs, typically a Mac mini that never sleeps and the laptop you carry. A third Mac is $9 a month; /billing adds one.

Install on the second Mac

  1. On the second Mac, run the same command with the same license key: npx tweetybird --license YOUR-KEY
  2. When setup asks for the bot token, paste the same token you used on the first Mac. Both Macs share one bot, so you keep one thread.
  3. Send the pairing code it prints from your phone.

The second Mac joins as a standby. Your first Mac keeps answering until you switch.

Which box does the work

/machines lists your Macs, tap one to make it active
/machines mini switch by name

One Mac holds the thread at a time. It runs the agents, the schedules, and the browser. If the active Mac has been asleep or offline for about 90 seconds, the other one takes over, so closing the laptop lid hands the thread to the mini.

Same memory on both

Memory is keyed on the repo's git remote, not the folder path. ~/code/api on the laptop and ~/src/api on the mini are the same repo, so both Macs read and write one memory for it. A decision Claude made on the laptop at 11 is known to Codex on the mini at 2.

Freeing a slot

tweetybird license release

Run it on a Mac you are retiring, or run tweetybird uninstall, which does the same. The slot is free for the next Mac.
